SINIMULAN na ng Quezon City government ang online booking para sa pagbabakuna sa mga kabataang edad 12-17 na may comorbidities sa hangaring bigyang proteksyon laban sa COVID-19.Ayon kay QC Mayor Joy Belmonte, ito ay matapos aprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) ang panukalang mag-inoculate ng mga bata gamit ang mga bakuna na nabigyan ng Emergency Use Authorization ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

e have seen in the past months how the virus has been affecting our kids as well. It’s high time that we expand the vaccination program to them. We, in the local government, would like to assure everyone that the inoculation process for the children will be as smooth, if not better, as the ones we had for the adults,” ayon kay Belmonte.
Ang kick-off activity na kahapon sa Quezon City General Hospital ay personal na dinaluhan ni Belmonte, kasama si Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya at mga kinatawan mula sa Department of Health (DOH).
Sinabi naman ni Dr. Maria Lourdes Eleria ng QC Task Force Vax to Normal, Pfizer at Moderna ang gagamitin sa inoculation dahil ang mga ito ang inaprubahan ng FDA para sa paggamit ng target group sa ngayon.
Maaaring iparehistro ng mga magulang o ng mga custodians ang mga babakunahang bata gamit ang QC VaxEasy website: www.qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy, o sa pamamagitan ng kani-kanilang barangay.
Samantala ang target na grupo ay itinuturing na bahagi ng Priority Group A3, at ang mga ito ay ang comorbidities na may kumplikadong medikal, genetic conditions, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine diseases, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, HIV infection, tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, renal disorders, hepatobiliary diseases, at ang mga may immunocompromised dahil sa disease o treatment.
