SA kabila ng garapalan at malisyosong pag-atake na ginagawa ng anti-Marcos forces, patuloy na napapamahal sa mga botanteng Pinoy si presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr.
Sinabi ni Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) Secretary General Thompson Lantion na isang malinaw na halimbawa rito ay ang walang humpay na pagsirit paitaas sa survey ni BBM.
Sa nakalipas na survey ng Manila Times para sa presidential preference poll, si Marcos ay nakakuha ng napakalaking 68 percent share.
Malayong nakasunod sa kanya si Vice-President Leni Robredo na may 10.8 percent; pangatlo si Manila Mayor Isko Moreno sa 7.9 percent; nakadikit si Senador Manny Pacquiao na may 7.2 percent; Senator Ping Lacson na may 2.5 percent at 1.5 percent ang nakuha naman ni Senador Bato dela Rosa.
Isinagawa ang survey sa pagitan ng October 26 at November 2.
Isa sa pinakamatanda at pinagkakatiwalaang broadsheets sa bansa, ang Manila Times ay nakapagtala ng 1,500 registered voters sa naturang survey na may tanong na: “Kung ngayon gagawin ang eleksyon, sino ang inyong iboboto bilang pangulo?
Nabatid na kombinasyon ng face-to-face at assisted phone interviews ang survey.
Isinagawa ito sa kasagsagan ng pag-atake ng mga kalaban kaugnay sa dekada nang rehashed at malisyosong istorya ng ‘Oxford diploma controversy.’
“The harder they pushed on with their hate-based innuendos against Bongbong, the bigger their numbers fall in the survey as shown by the big margin of the ratings between BBM and all his opponents,” ani Lantion.
Sinabi ng PFP secretary-general na: “It is the authentic Filipino culture for the underdog that keeps Bongbong’s survey number to shoot up and lead the pack of the 2022 presidentiables.”
“Such a scenario happens when the aggressors’ narratives against the intended victim are packed with lies instead of sound arguments, and if their victim manages to restrain himself from fighting back and remains humbled by his innocence and faith for unity,” dagdag pa nito.
Isa rin sa lalong nakahahanga kay Marcos, ani Lantion ay tahimik lamang nitong sinasagot ang mga isyu, sa kabila ng mapanirang akusasyon laban sa kanya.
“Despite being in the receiving end of the unfounded invectives, Bongbong remained humble and calm and stayed focused on his campaign for a unifying presidency should he win in next year’s election. That way, the voting population is endeared to him,” giit pa ni Lantion.
