10-K GURO 60-ORAS NANG NAGTATRABAHO SA BOTOHAN

OVERTIME na sa kanilang tungkulin bilang Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) ang may 10,000 public school teachers dahil sa mga technical error at mga problemadong SD o secure digital cards.

Ito ang inireklamo ng ACT Teachers party-list group dahil umaabot sa 60-oras na nagtatrabaho umano ang mga BEIs simula noong Lunes, Mayo 13, dahil sa mga nabanggit na aberya.

Sinabi ng grupo na sa kabuuan, umaabot sa 3, 253 Vote-Counting Machines (VCMs) ang hindi nakapag-transmit pasado alas-12:00 ng tanghali noong Miyerkoles kaya umaabot sa 60 oras na nagtatrabaho ang mga BEI.

“This is unacceptable! While Comelec  is already declaring a ‘generally successful elections’, thousands of teacher-poll workers have not left their assigned precincts since as early as 2am on May 13,” ani Raymond Basilio, Secretary General ng nasabing grupo.

Naidokumento ng grupo ang mga ito sa apat (4) na barangay sa Camarines Norte, partikular na sa Brgy. Ubang, San Roque, Villa Aurora at Tanauan, apat na barangay sa La Union (Brgy. Bani, Parasapas, Tanglad at  Gumot), isang presinto sa Poblacion, San Manuel Tarlac; Villa Aglipay sa San Jose Tarlac, Northern Samar, Davao City at 11 presinto sa  Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur at iba pa.

Bagama’t mayroon honoraria ang mga grupo na ito, hindi makatarungan umaabot sa 60-oras ang kanilang pagtatrabaho gayung dapat ay 24 oras lang nasa presinto ang mga ito.

Gayunpaman, dahil sa kapalpakan umano ng Comelec at ang makitang ginamit sa pagbilang mga boto ay naapektuhan ang mga guro na ito.

“We call on the concerned agencies to give justice to the immeasurable sacrifice of teacher-poll workers. At the minimum, they shall ensure that all those who rendered extended poll service due to Comelec’s  inefficiency be properly compensated and provided additional service credit. They have been denied their much-needed and deserved rest. Maawa naman kayo sa mga guro,”  ani Basilio.
