IBINASURA ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana ang teorya ni Professor Rommel Banlaoi, chair ng  Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence, and Terrorism Research, na nasa 100 na ang foreign terrorist na naglulungga sa Pilipinas at patuloy na lumalaki ang bilang nito.

“I would like to debunk that theory of Mr Banlaoi, I think he was saying that there were already 100 Islamic State of Iraq and Syria o ISIS in Mindnao. We don’t see those people there. Not that much,” ani Lorenzana.

Sinabi pa ng kalihim na maaring may kaunti doon na maaaring umabot sa 10 ang bilang . “In fact namatay na nga yung isa nung isang araw.”

Naniniwala si Lorenzana na dahil nadudurog na ang mga teritoryo ISIS partikular sa Syria, ay nagtatakasan na ang mga terorista at maaring may mga nakumbinsi o niyaya ng kanilang mga kaalyadong militante mula sa Malaysia o Indonesia  at may ilan na nakarating sa Pilipinas .

“If we have Filipinos there fighting in Syria, then we might expect them to be coming back here. Yung mga Malaysian, babalik sa Malaysia yan. Yung mga Indonesian, sa Indonesia. so ung likelihood na they might transfer from one country to another is very big.”

“Kaya pinapaigting natin ang ating kooperasyon with the Malaysians and Indonesians para hindi sila makalipat-lipat. We are also intensifying our operation in the south para we can eliminate them altogether. Pero hindi ako naniniwala na lumalaki sila rito sa atin,” pahayag pa ni Lorenzana.

Sa report ay sinasabing ang mga foreign terrorist ay sumasama sa operation ng mga local bandit gaya ng Abu Sayyaf, Abu Dar Group, Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, at Ansar Khalifa Islamiyah.

Naninindigan naman ang pamunuan ng Armed Forces of the Philippine na malabong maging terrorist hub ang Pilipinas.
