HATI ang mga senador sa hamon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay Leni Robredo na pangunahan ang kampanya kontra droga at resolbahin ito sa loob ng anim na buwan .

Ayon kay Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, kung seryoso ang Pangulo sa kanyang panukala, mas makabubuting italaga si Robredo bilang chairperson ng Dangerous Drugs Board at concurrent Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency director general.

Sinabi naman ni Senador Koko Pimentel na hindi maaaring ibigay ng Pangulo ang kanyang law enforcement powers maliban na lamang sa kanyang mga alter ego.

“PRRD is the Chief Executive. He executes the laws. That cannot be delegated except to his alter egos,” saad ni Pimentel.

Hindi naman sineryoso ni Senador Leila de Lima ang tinawag nitong “tongue-in-cheek proposal” para kay Robredo sa paggiit na nais lamang nitong magpapansin.

“But like all his other statements of the kind, it is senseless and outrageous when it comes to being considered as a serious policy pronouncement,” saad ni de Lima.

Iginiit nito na kung seryoso ang Pangulo, dapat buo nitong ibigay kay Robredo ang kanyang kapangyarihan upang ang Pangalawang Pangulo na ang magsilbing acting president sa mga panahon na anya ay “over-acting phase” ni Duterte.

Nagbigay din ito ng mensahe sa Pangulo.

“Hello! You were the one who promised to solve every problem of this nation that existed since the 19th century in the span of six months. You failed. And now  you mock VP Robredo when you were the one who bragged everything is solvable with the 6-month Duterte formula of wishing that things would just fix themselves by the sheer power of your stupid jokes and equally idiotic ramblings,” giit nito.
