NAGBUNYI  ang mga mambabatas sa pagsibak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay dating Bureau of Correction (Bucor) director general Nicanor Faeldon subalit kailangang panagutin ito sa pagsalaula sa Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law.

Sa pagkakahiwalay na reaksyon, ikinatuwa ng mga mambabatas sa Kamara ang aksyon ni Duterte laban kay Faeldon  subalit kailangang mapanagot ang dating opisyal dahil kung hindi ay walang maniniwala sa anti-drug at anti-corruption campaign ng Pangulo.

“Charges must be filed against him and the others who made a mockery of our laws,” ani Bayan Muna party-list Rep. Carlos Zarate  lalo na’t mga Chinese drug lords, rapist at mga mamamatay tao ang kanyang pinakawalan.

Simula noong maging batas ang GCTA law o Republic Act (RA) 10592 ay 1,914 heinous crime convicts na kinabibilangan ng 797 mamamatay tao, 758 rapist at 48 drug lords.

“If the President is serious against corruption and genuinely aims to rid his administration of illegal activities, the buck should not stop with Faeldon and it should not stop with dismissal,” ayon naman kay ACT party-list Rep. France Castro.

Sinabi naman ni Kabataan party-list Rep. Sarah Elago na kung hindi maparurusahan si Faeldon ay malaking kabalintunaan na aniya ang kampanya ni Duterte laban sa illegal drug at katiwalian sa gobyerno.

Ginawa ni Elago ang pahayag dahil hindi napanagot si Faeldon sa P6 billion halaga ng shabu na nakalusot sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) noong siya pa ang hepe ng nasabing ahensya.
