“I join the entire nation as we celebrate this year’s National Heroes’ Day. Today we honor not only the valor of our forebears who fought for the motherland’s freedom but also the heroism of those who risk their lives fighting a different kind of enemy,” pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.

“Present day challenges posed by the current public health crisis have given rise to modern-day heroes, the country’s Filipino frontliners, here and abroad who are battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

As we commemorate National Heroes’ Day, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 honors our modern-day heroes — our medical frontliners — who have made every conceivable sacrifice to ensure the health and safety of the Filipino people,” pahayag naman ng NTF sa pangunguna ni Chief Implementor at OPAP Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.

Lumagda sa nasabing pahayag sina Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana, NTF Chair; DILG Secretary Eduardo Manahan Año, NTF Vice-Chair; Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito G. Galvez Jr., Chief Implementer of the Philippines’ Declared National Policy Against COVID-19 at Bases and Conversion Development Authority President and CEO Vivencio “Vince” Dizon.

“In honor of the spirits of bravery and valor that our heroic ancestors have exuded and handed down to us as inspirations to succeed as a nation, our strong belief and united actions towards our collective development are therefore warranted,” ayon kay Sec. Andanar.

“I salute our country’s frontliners for their sacrifices and unparalleled contribution in our fight against COVID-19,” ayon sa kinatawan ng Antique.

(JESSE KABEL/CHRISTIAN DALE/BERNARD TAGUINOD)
