PABOR ang Malacañang na imbestigahan ang mga opisyal ng pamahalaan na lumabag sa health protocols na itinakda ng Department of Health (DOH) kung may reklamo laban
sa mga ito.
Reaksyon ito ng Palasyo kasunod ng mga batikos laban kina Sen. Koko Pimentel at ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Go Yap na kapwa nakihalubilo pa sa publiko kahit persons under investigation (PUIs) na at kalaunan ay nakumpirmang positibo sa COVID-19.
Si Sen. Pimentel ay sinamahan pa ang misis sa Makati Medical Center at ito ay nagtungo rin sa supermarket sa Bonifacio Global City sa Taguig City habang si Cong. Yap ay nagpunta sa Palasyo noong nakaraang Sabado kung saan nakahalubilo ang ilang Cabinet secretaries at iba pang opisyal ng gobyerno.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo, conflicting umano ang mga nasabing report kaya minabuti ng Office of the President (OP) na ipaubaya na lamang
sa kinauukulang ahensya ng pamahalaan kung may reklamo laban sa mga mambabatas para imbestigahan at malaman ang katotohanan.
Ayon kay Sec. Panelo, dapat sundin ng lahat ng persons under investigation ang mga itinakdang protocol, kahit ano pa man ang kanilang socio-political status.
“The protocols set by the government for persons under investigation or monitoring must be strictly and absolutely observed by all people falling under the said categories, regardless of their socio-political status. They are not meant to discomfit or burden anyone.
They have been established to ensure that public health and safety are secured at all times. There are no exemptions for any person on these health protocols. Those holding high positions in the government are enjoined to set an example to their constituents by strictly observing them,” ani Sec. Panelo. CHRISTIAN DALE
