NAUDLOT ang nakatakda sanang pagdating ngayong araw sa bansa ng 525,600 doses ng AstraZeneca vaccines.

Ayon kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, baka maurong ng one week ang pagdating ng nasabing bakuna dahil sa global shortage.

Sinabi ng kalihim na ito ang sinabi sa kanya ng COVAX facility.

Nauna nang inanunsyo ng Malakanyang ang pagdating sa bansa ng 525,600 doses ng AstraZeneca vaccines, na ayon kay Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque ay kabahagi ng first round ng inilaan na doses na makukuha ng Pilipinas mula sa COVAX facility.

Mayroon aniyang inaasahan ang Pilipinas na 5.2 hanggang 9.2 milyong AstraZeneca dosages mula sa COVAX facility.

“This forms part of the 44 million doses of COVAX to inoculate 20% of our population. We thank the World Health Organization (WHO), the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) towards this end,” ayon kay Sec. Roque.
