HINILING ni Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto sa Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) na ilagay sa kanilang website ang lahat ng pagpapalabas ng multi-milyong pondo sa Interim Reimbursement Mechanism (IRM) para sa transparency at mabusisi ng taumbayan.
Sa pahayag, sinabi ni Recto na madali lang gawin ito ng PhilHealth kahit hindi sila bumili ng mamamahalin at matataas na uri ng IT software.
Ayon kay Recto, dapat ilahad ng PhilHealth ang mga pangunahing datos tulad ng halaga, petsa ng pagpapalabas, tumanggap na institusyon at kapasidad ng pasilidad, liquidated amount at bilang ng benepisaryong miyembro.
“No fancy graphics. Readable cut-and-paste ledgers will do. Poverty of ideas and funds is not an excuse in failing to upload data which a millennial can easily do,” giit ni Recto.
“Kung gusto ninyo ng magandang social media cards in periodically reporting out the highlights of IRM, this land is overpopulated with young people who can do the design,” ayon sa mambabatas mulang Batangas.
Ayon pa kay Recto, dapat tularan ng PhilHealth ang website ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na libu-libong dokumento ang matutunghayan na isang halimbawa ng transparency.
“Need an example? Go to the DBM website. There are tens of thousands of pages of budget documents going back more than a decade which are banked there,” giit ni Recto.
“Bring these data out in the open because sunlight is the best disinfectant, and the antidote to the ingrained palakasan in the release of the IRM,” dagdag ng senador. (ESTONG REYES)
