KASABAY ng pagdiriwang ng Labor Day, umabot sa 10,648 trabaho ang binuksan para sa job seekers sa ginanap na simultaneous job fair sa SM malls sa Bulacan noong Miyerkoles, Mayo 1, 2024.

Dinagsa ng job seekers ang SM City Marilao na naghandog ng 3,614 job openings mula sa iba’t ibang kumpanya sa probinsya.

Nasa 7,034 jobs ang binuksan naman sa SM City San Jose Del Monte sa Barang Tungkong-Mangga.

Ang nasabing job fair ay inorganisa sa pakikipagtulungan ng Department of Labor and Employment Region III (DOLE-R3), kasama ang Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO), at City at Municipal PESO Unit sa Marilao at CSJDM, katuwang ang Local Government Unit dito kung saan nakapaglikha ng 10,648 trabaho.

“Committed to connecting jobseekers in the community with career opportunities, SM Supermalls and partner government agencies bring companies together in one venue, showcasing a diverse range of industries, career fields, and salary levels,” wika ni Nica Cunan, SM Marilao public relation officer.

Nasa 41 local companies ang lumahok sa job fair sa SM Marilao habang 43 companies/agencies sa SM CSJDM.

Nabatid na umabot naman sa 57 aplikante ang ‘hired-on-the-spot’.

Ayon kay SM City Marilao Mall Manager Emmanuel Gatmaitan, ang public-private partnership sa pagitan ng SM at government agencies, tulad ng events gaya ng job fairs, ay makabubuo ng ‘opportunities for growth’.

“At SM, we believe in fostering thriving communities where everyone

can flourish. When jobs are created in our cities and towns, everyone benefits,” ani Gatmaitan.

Bukod sa alok na mga trabaho ay naroon din ang mga ahensya ng SSS, PhilHealth, PhilSys, at Pag-IBIG membership para sa One-Stop-Shop.

Ang naturang job fair ay isa sa maraming paraan ng SM Supermalls para makaambag sa nation-building program ng pamahalaan para sumuporta sa National and Local Government’s initiative na maghatid ng trabaho sa bawat Pilipino.
