KINONDENA ng dalawang senador ang insidente ng pagpatay sa 14-anyos na estudyante na pinagbabaril habang nag-aaral sa loob ng kanilang bahay sa Talisay City, Cebu.

Sinabi ni Senate Committee on Basic Education Chairman Sherwin Gatchalian, walang puwang sa mundo ang ganitong uri ng karahasan.

“I condemn it in the strongest terms and urge our law enforcers to ensure those responsible are swiftly brought to justice,” pahayag ni Gatchalian.

Kasabay nito, nagpahayag ng pakikisimpatiya ang senador sa pamilya ng biktima at nakikiisa sa Department of Education sa panawagan para sa hustisya para sa biktima.

“My office remains committed to collaborating with education stakeholders to ensure the uninterrupted safety of learning environments and the well-being of our students,” diin ni Gatchalian.

Sa panig ni Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, nananawagan siya sa mga awtoridad na agad aksyunan ang trahedya at papanagutin ang nasa likod nito.

“We condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms and call upon the authorities to expedite their investigation to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice,” saad ni Pimentel.
