MAE-ENJOY na ng Pilipinas ang mas malawak at mas maayos na interconnectivity dahil sa subsea cable system project ng Converge ICT Solutions Inc. at Keppel Telecommunications and Transport (T&T) Ltd., ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Kaagad na ipinarating ng Pangulo ang magandang balitang ito sa publiko matapos ang kanyang pakikipagpulong kina Converge founder at chief executive officer (CEO) Dennis Anthony Uy at Keppel T&T CEO at executive director Thomas Pang Thieng Hwi sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang nitong Martes.
Winika ng Pangulo, ang partnership sa pagitan ng nasabing mga kumpanya ay makapagbibigay sa bansa ng “bigger bandwidth and faster internet connection.”
“I just finished a meeting with the Converge group who have tied up with the Keppel group to put in a submarine fiber optic cable from the west coast of the United States. It will connect to the Philippines and it will also connect to Singapore and Indonesia,” ayon sa Chief Executive.
“And this will again give us bigger bandwidth. This will give us a better communication system when it comes to all the online services that we are using globally,” dagdag na pahayag nito. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
