INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na ituloy ang implementasyon ng 4Ps o ang Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program upang makapagbigay ng ayuda sa mahihirap na Pilipino.

Kasabay nito, pinuri ni Marcos Jr. ang mga tauhan ng DSWD sa “excellent” at “genuine” public service na ibinibigay ng mga ito.

Sa talumpati ng Pangulo sa 72nd founding anniversary ng DSWD sa Quezon City, binigyang diin nito ang mahalagang papel ng DSWD sa pagbibigay ng tulong sa mamamayang Pilipino lalo na iyong nabibilang sa vulnerable sectors.

“Today, we recognize and take pride in this institution’s stability and reliability. For over 70 years, the DSWD has remained unwavering in its mission to improve the lives of every Filipino, especially those who are in distress, those who are in danger, and those who we can see are in disadvantage,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“Your dedication has proven vital to the success of this noble institution and this noble work that you do for our people. And that is why I enjoin the entire Filipino people in expressing our gratitude for your continued excellence in rendering public service,” dagdag na wika nito.

Pinuri rin ni Pangulong Marcos ang mga tauhan ng DSWD para sa pagsisikap at sakripisyo ng mga ito para sa taumbayan.

“Through your efforts and sacrifices we have made inroads in reducing poverty, in reducing hunger, and towards achieving upper middle income status by 2025,” aniya pa rin sabay sabing “I know these because I have witnessed you working long hours, making many sacrifices, even risking life and limb to give our people the service that they need, especially the vulnerable and the disadvantaged.” (CHRISTIAN DALE)
