NAGSAGAWA ng site visit at inspeksyon ang isang composite team na binubuo ng mga miyembro mula sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) Enforcement Security Service (ESS) at Port Operations Division (POD), sa Customs Bonded Warehouse (CBW) ng Pulp Specialties Philippines, Inc. (PSPI) sa Albuera, Leyte noong Setyembre 27, 2023.
Ang PSPI ay supplier ng specialty paper na gawa sa abaca fiber at pulp.
Ito ay papel na ginagamit sa iba’t ibang produkto, katulad ng pera, tea at coffee filters, cigarette paper, at maraming iba pa at ini-export sa European countries.
Kinumpirma naman ng customs authorities na ang mga kalakal na nakaimbak sa isang Customs Bonded Warehouse ay sumusunod sa mga tuntunin na may kaugnayan sa customs regulations and laws.
Naberipika rin na lahat ng kailangang customs documentation, kasama ang export permits at exporter accreditation, ay tama at up to date.
Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni District Collector Atty. Francis T. Tolibas, ang BOC-Port of Tacloban ay masigasig na itinataguyod ang mandato ng BOC upang maipatupad ang export regulations and laws, na tiyak na susundin ng lahat ng mga palabas na shipments. Inaasahan ding susundin nito ang domestic at international trade standards.
