NAGSAGAWA ng pagpupulong ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu, sa pamumuno ni District Collector Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, kasama sina Chamber of Customs Brokers Inc. (CCBI) – Cebu Chapter President Mr. Elizir Lao; Internal Vice President, Mr. Elorde I. Talisic; Vice President for Government Affairs, Mr. Joshua T. Tan; Secretary, Mr. Elizalde P. Deligero; Treasurer, Mr. Richard M. Rongcales; at Directors, Claudine Fel C. Lauros at Carlos A. Barte noong Agosto 22, 2023.
Layunin ng nasabing pulong ang pagpapahusay ng kooperasyon at pagpapalakas ng bonding sa pagitan ng Port of Cebu at customs brokers community sa pamamagitan ng CCBI.
Ang nasabing pagtitipon ay nagsilbi bilang isang mahalagang plataporma para sa pagpapalitan sa may kaugnayan na mga isyu na dati nang nagdulot ng mga hadlang sa customs operations.
Kabilang sa highlights ang proactive na resolusyon na matagal nang alalahanin tungkol sa mga pagkaantala sa pagpoproseso at mga pagsubok na dumarating mula sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga empleyado ng Port.
Ang mga alalahanin na ito ay itinuring na kailangan ang buong atensyon at komitment mula kay District Collector Atty. Morales II, na nagresulta sa determinadong pagsisikap na matugunan at maresolba nang mabisa ang bawat usapin.
Sa pamamagitan ng mga dayalogo at dedikasyon sa kahusayan sa pagpapatakbo, ang pagpupulong ay naging instrumental sa pinagkasundong ang mga isyu at alalahanin.
Kaugnay nito, si District Collector Atty. Morales ay ipinahayag ang kanyang optimismo kaugnay sa partnership, “We recognize the essential role of customs brokers in ensuring that trade operations are conducted smoothly while adhering to all necessary legal and regulatory requirements. Through open communication and shared objectives, we aim to establish a strong foundation that optimizes trade facilitation and compliance efforts. By working together, we can better address challenges, improve our operations, and increase lawful revenue collection.”
Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni District Collector Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, at sa patnubay ni Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, ang Port of Cebu ay nananatili sa dedikadong pag-aambag sa pagsulong ng mga kaugalian habang tinitiyak ang mahigpit na pagsunod sa mga batas ng customs.
