P15-M FACE MASK NASABAT NG CIDG

AABOT sa halagang P15,120,000 ang face masks na nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)- Anti-Transnational Crimes Unit (ATCU) kasunod ng entrapment operation sa Multinational Village, Brgy. Moonwalk, Paranaque City.

Sa ulat na isinumite kay PNP chief Directorial Staff for Operation at pinuno ng Joint Task Force COVID-19 Shields Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, isang Wang Lin ang itinuturong bigtime hoarders at profiteers.

Sinasamantala umano ni Wang lin ang kakulangan ng face mask sanhi ng umiiral na coronavirus 2019 disease sa bansa para mag-imbak at pataasin ang presyo ng medical supplies, Sinasabing sangkot ito sa “hoarding, profiteering, injurious speculation of prices, product deceptions and cartels, monopolies or other combinations in restraint of trade or other pernicious practices affecting the supply”.

Ang pagsalakay ng mga operatiba ng CIDG ay bunsod ng reklamong inihain ng dalawang testigo na pinuwersa umano ng suspek na magbenta ng face masks sa doble-dobleng halaga.

Kabilang sa mga ebidensyang nakumpiska ng mga awtoridad ang 270 carton boxes na naglalaman ng 540,000 piraso ng face masks, at entrapment money na P1,000 bill at boodle money. (JESSE KABEL)
