350K MANGINGISDA SASAGIPIN NG FISHCORE PROJECT NG BBM ADMIN

SUPORTADO ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang Philippine Fisheries and Coastal Resiliency (FishCoRe) Project na makatutulong sa pinakamahihirap na mangingisda sa bansa.

Sa isang kalatas, sinabi ng Office of the Press Secretary (OPS), ang FishCoRe, nilikha para tugunan ang usapin ng sektor ng pangingisda ay naglalayong tiyakin ang food security at bawasan ang poverty incidence, ay inaasahan na mapakikinabangan ng 354,905 registered fisherfolk sa 24 na lalawigan.

“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who also heads the Department of Agriculture (DA), is fully supportive of the project as this will ‘benefit the poorest of the poor’ among the fisherfolk in 24 provinces,” ayon sa OPS.

Winika pa ng OPS, ipinahayag ni Pangulong Marcos ang kanyang suporta sa proyekto sa pakikipagpulong nito sa mga opisyal ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), noong Huwebes.

“The FishCoRe Project is a seven-year investment that would help the country implement reforms in fishery and aquaculture management targeted at better managing local fisheries resources and increasing the value of fisheries production,” ayon sa OPS.

Kamakailan ay pinangunahan pa ni Pangulong Marcos, ang pag-apruba ng NEDA ng P11.2 bilyong pondo para sa nasabing proyekto.
