BILANG bahagi ng kanilang pagsisikap na suportahan ang government-designated quarantine facilities, ang Globe ay magkakaloob ng libre, maaasahan at mabilis na internet access sa We Heal As One Center-National Government Administrative Center (NGAC) sa New Clark City.
Magbibigay ang Globe ng libreng wi-fi para sa mga uuwing overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), at sa mga nurse, doktor at iba pang medical staff sa pasilidad na ginawang quarantine area.
“We acknowledge the essential need to provide mobile and internet services in areas for healing including designated quarantine centers, especially for our OFWs. Globe is committed to assist fellow Filipinos in this time of great need,” pahayag ni Yoly Crisanto, Globe SVP for Corporate Communications.
Bukod sa internet access, tumulong din ang Globe sa pagtatayo ng Central Operations Center of Network ng NGAC.
“At the We Heal as One Centers, patients are given the utmost care. Aside from round-the-clock medical care, our facilities provide free meals and are equipped with fast internet connection, allowing the patients to talk to their loved ones. We want to make sure that while they are in these facilities, the only thing they would have to focus on is getting better,” sabi ni National Action Plan Against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon. Ang NGAC sa New Clark City ay itinayo bilang back-up facility ng national government agencies upang matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na operasyon sa panahon ng kalamidad.
Bahagi ito ng Phase 1A ng proyekto, na kinabibilangan din ng sports facilities na ginamit sa 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Isa sa sports facilities, ang Athletes’ Village, ay kasalukuyan ding ginagamit bilang temporary quarantine facility.
Bukod sa NGAC, ang Globe ay nag-donate ng milyon-milyon sa iba’t ibang ospital at medical facilities sa buong Metro Manila at sa key provinces ng Luzon sa pamamagitan ng Globe Rewards Program nito.
Nagbigay rin ang kompanya ng GoWiFi access, signal boosters, Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), face shields, food packs at preloaded mobile devices na may unli all call at text sa loob ng 45 araw sa medical frontliners sa mga piling ospital at government-designated quarantine facilities.
