“The reports and images of utter devastation they are sending back are heartbreaking and our deepest sympathies go out to those who lost so much, including loved ones,” ayon kay UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Philippines Gustavo Gonzalez.

“We are coordinating with the Government authorities to ensure we provide timely support and are fully mobilized in addressing critical gaps and the needs of the most vulnerable,” ayon kay Gonzalez.

Pinuri naman nito ang propesyonalismo ng front-line responders sa pangunguna ng Philippine government officials, Philippine Red Cross, at iba pa sa evacuation, search, and rescue efforts “in very difficult circumstances and logistics.”

Ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ay agad dineploy para magdala ng tulong sa mga apektadong lugar. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
