MAGLALABAS ang National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) ng pinal na listahan ng major projects sa ilalim ng administrasyong Marcos sa pagtatapos ng first quarter ng 2023.
Kasunod ito ng paunang pagpapalabas ng 7 “high-impact projects” ngayong linggo.
Sinabi ni NEDA Undersecretary Rosemarie Edillon, hinihimay mabuti at sinusuri ng socioeconomic planning body ang mahabang listahan ng mga proyekto.
“So far, mga 206 iyong nasa listahan ngayon. And that’s just for iyong tinatawag nating magiging flagship. That could still be trimmed down… iyon nga tinitingnan natin iyong viability nito,” ayon kay Edillon.
“Iyong the benefits versus the cost, of course. Kasi iyong longer list, ito iyong mga 3,000 projects iyon, all the way to 2028. But, like I said, iyong listahan na iyon, we will come up with it, it will be uploaded again on the NEDA website by the end of this first quarter,” ayon sa nasabing opisyal.
Winika pa nito na ang mga proyekto ng pamahalaan ay popondohan sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang schemes o pamamaraan gaya ng “public private partnership (PPP), grants at government allocation.”
Sa pagpapatupad ng PPP projects, sinabi ni Edillon na nakatuon ang pansin ng administrasyon sa “solicited PPPs, or those well-crafted and vetted projects, which could help the government achieve its targets of economic growth, increased employment and poverty reduction.”
Kabilang sa high-impact projects na inaprubahan ng NEDA Board, sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., tumatayong chairman nito ang mga establisimyento gaya ng “300-bed capacity University of the Philippines (UP)-Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Cancer Center-Public Private Partnership (PPP) project, pagtataas sa halaga ng Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) rehabilitation project, utilisasyon ng Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan balance para sa bagong Communications, Navigation, Surveillance-Air Traffic Management (CNS-ATM) system, at pagtatayo ng bagong Dumaguete Airport Development Project.
Ang iba pang proyekto na inaprubahan o kinumpirma ng NEDA board ay ang Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIDP) ng DA, at ang P20-billion first phase ng Integrated Flood Resilience at adaptation project ng Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) sa tatlong mga pangunahing river basin sa bansa.
