MICHAEL YANG, PHARMALLY PREXY PINAAARESTO NG SENADO

IPINAAARESTO ng Senado sina dating presidential economic adviser Michael Yang at Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation president Linconn Ong.

Dahil sa pagsisinungaling at hindi tamang pagsagot sa mga tanong ay napilitan ang mga senador na magpalabas ng arrest warrant laban sa dalawa.

Sa ikalimang pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, hindi naitago ni Senador Panfilo Lacson ang galit dahil sa pagtuturuan at pagsisinungaling nina Yang at Ong sa mga tanong ng mga senador kaugnay ng usapin sa delivery ng medical COVID-19 supplies.

“May I move or issue the motion Mr. Chairman, it’s not only Mr. Ong who is being evasive. I think Mr. Yang likewise is being evasive because we cannot get an answer …and clearly they are being evasive,” sabi ni Lacson.

“So I would really move, either not to lift the warrant of arrest issued by the Senate president or issue a subsequent warrant of arrest for being evasive,” dagdag nito.

Ang warrant of arrest ay agad namang sinegundahan ni Senador Risa Hontiveros at nina Senate Majority Leader Franklin Drilon at Senador Richard Gordon, chairman ng komite.

“There being no objection, the chair hereby ordered that Mr. Linconn Ong and Mr. Yang placed under arrest,” sabi ni Gordon.

Una nang naglabas ng warrant of arrest ang nasabing komite laban kay Yang at iba pang opisyales ng Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. dahil sa pagbalewala sa dalawang subpoenas na inilabas ng komite. Kahapon ay lumutang na ang mga ito.

Sa pagdinig, itinanggi ni Yang may kinalaman ito sa operasyon ng Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation, ngunit sinabi naman ni Ong na nagsilbi ang una na middleman para makakuha ng business partner upang mapasok ang kontrata sa Procurement Service ng Department of Budget and Management.
