PINAYAGAN ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) na magsuot ng light uniforms habang naka-duty sa gitna ng heat index na umaabot sa dangerous levels sa maraming bahagi ng bansa.

Sa katunayan, binasa ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos sa isang news forum ang DILG urgent memorandum na nag-aatas sa mga hepe ng tatlong ahensya na magpalabas ng kani-kanilang advisory hinggil sa uniform attire.

Bago pa ang DILG order, nagpalabas na ang BJMP ng isang memorandum hinggil sa modified schedule ng pagsusuot ng uniporme sa panahon ng tag-init, pinapayagan ang mga tauhan nito na gumamit ng gray shirts mula Martes hanggang Biyernes.

“The tri-bureau’s line of work already poses a lot of risks, now coupled with the hazards of extreme heat temperature kaya kailangan din natin protektahan ang ating uniformed personnel from the PNP, BFP and BJMP,” ayon kay Abalos.
