IN my past article, I discussed about prayer. Sabi ko nga malawak ang usapin ng prayer. Pag-usapan natin ang intercessory prayer o panalangin na tagapamagitan.

Ang prinsipyo ng intercessory prayer ay panalangin sa Diyos upang humingi ng mercy, grace, intervention, guidance, healing, comfort, strength or blessings para sa iba. Suportado ng iba’t ibang passages sa Bible ang konsepto ng intercession.

Intercessory prayer is praying for others with Christ as our mediator and advocate!

Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded, “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who curse you, do good who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44).

Last November 10, 2024 nasa London ako at nabiktima ng pickpocketing (it’s good na passport case with my ID global entry lang ang natangay.) Natural nagalit ako but suddenly medyo happy at ‘yun lang nawala.

Biglang pumasok sa aking isip instead magalit ay ipag-pray ko kung sino man ang pickpocket na sana ako na lang ang huling mabiktima niya at ma-convict ng Holy Spirit at magbago na ang taong ‘yun. Sana ay makilala niya si Jesus bilang Panginoon at Tagapagligtas ng buhay niya at magkaroon ng bagong buhay.

Ang ginawa ko ay intercessory prayer bilang isang Christian na ipagdasal at mamagitan para sa kaluluwa at needs ng iba.

James tells us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed’ (James 5:16) Paul urges us, ” that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (I Timothy 2:1-2).

Moses prayed for the healing of his sister Miriam, “O God, please heal her!” (Num. 12:13). Abraham prayed for Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah. Jacob prayed for the protection of his family. Isaiah and King Hezekiah prayed for deliverance from Sennacherib (2 Chron. 32:20).

Author Wesley L. Duewel said, “Prevailing prayer is intercession intensified—intercession until the answer is received”.
