“HOW can we serve you better?”
Sinundan pa ni Mendoza ng mga katanungang: “How can we improve our communication with you? How can we increase compliance from you? How can we make you feel safer in transacting with the BOC?”
Nagsidalo sa naturang stakeholders’ meeting ang mga bagong halal na mga namumuno sa Chamber of Customs Brokers Inc. (CCBI) -Cebu Chapter, mga kasapi ng iba’t ibang industriya mula sa Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PhilExport Cebu at ang Federation of Ecozone Service Providers—Visayas Chapter.
Umaasa si Mendoza na mananatili at lalakas pa ang “cooperation, compliance, and commitment to service” ng samahan.
Idiniin niya na: “Remember that as customs brokers, you are the primary go-between of importers to transact business with the government. Therefore, you have a duty to our importers, your clients. Our importers rely on your technical expertise and services to foremost, not get them into trouble with the Bureau of Customs… By ensuring compliance to our Customs regulations, you as brokers ensure that your clients are reducing their cost by avoiding delays, penalties and prosecution, at the same time contributing to the pandemic response of the government”.
“How can we get ready for the next time something like this happens? What were the best practices we did now that we can apply to regular operations?,” patuloy na pagtatanong ng opisyal.
Marc Anthony Patriarca,at Sub-port of Mactan Collector Gerardo Campo.
“These 4 points can be easily remembered to spell the word WISE: Working together, Integrity, Service, and Endurance”, ayon sa kanya.
“We are in this together, with integrity in every encounter, to serve the Filipino people, so that we may endure beyond this pandemic, and prosper for our future,” dagdag pa niya. (Joel O. Amongo)
