CONNECTIONS is the name of the game in any culture; Asian, European, American, Arabian etc. Nangangahulugan din ang connections ng contacts, friends, networks, links, associates, acquaintances, relations, or influences.

Dr. Robert Puff, PhD. in his Meditation for Modern Life: Staying connected to our friends is a key factor in finding our happiness. Sang-ayon ako kay Dr. Puff na mas masaya kapag connected ka sa mga nasa kapangyarihan, especially sa mga politician, government officials or businessmen. Meaning money!

Sa Pilipinas, proven na kapag connected, friends, associates or cronies sa mga nakapwesto sa pamahalaan, marami kang kontrata, negosyo at pribilehiyo. Well-oiled and well protected ka maging illegal man ang mga transaction. Importante may padrino ka. Sa panahon ni Apo Ferdie Marcos, marami ang naging new rich na tinawag na Marcos cronies.

Gayundin sa panahon nina GMA, Erap, at Digong, marami ring yumaman, weather legally or illegally acquired. Kaya sabi nga lahat ay masaya kapag malapit ka sa kusina! Kapag may connections ay may collections! But their happiness is temporary and later on some of them were being sued, convicted and betrayed by their benefactors.

At this point in time, gusto kong ibahagi ang dapat na real connections to attain genuine happiness na kailangan natin. Sabi nga sa kanta… “Happiness is to know the Savior living a life within his favor…” Ang ating connections, friends or associates should be the one who will never leave us nor forsake us. What a true friend we have in Jesus, “the same yesterday, today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8), and sources of everything. He will supply all our needs according to His riches and glory (Philippians 4:19).

Looking for the right connections Jesus preached, “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7). Kabayan, I hope this season ay matagpuan natin ang right connections, friends, associates, networks, links, or contacts. I strongly suggest, why not try our Lord and Savior Jesus; wonderful, glorious, holy, righteous, victorious, conqueror, triumph, mighty, healer, deliverer, soon coming King, Lord of everything, way maker, promise keeper and miracle worker!
