BINIGYAN lamang ng isang linggo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang lahat ng law enforcement agencies para sirain ang mga nakumpiskang illegal drugs gaya ng shabu (methamphetamine) para maiwasan na ma-recycle at maibenta itong muli.

Ang mga nakumpiskang ilegal na droga ay ginagamit bilang ebidensiya laban sa inakusahang drug personality.

“I want all the shabu, residual or otherwise, however minimal, destroy the whole of it by next week. You have so many days to do it, one week.

Do it in one week.

Destroy and get specimen,” ayon kay Pangulong Duterte sa kanyang public address, Lunes ng gabi.

“You can also invite the NBI and the forensic guy of the NBI will also conduct the examination at gano’n din sabihin,” dagdag na pahayag ng Pangulo sabay sabing “We go by science, just the experiment.

Why do we have to put on our shoulder the burden of keeping a contraband or merchandise that can be stolen and used and recycled,” dagdag na pahayag ng Pangulo.

Sa pagsira o pagwasak aniya sa mga nakumpiskang ilegal na droga ay siguradong magiging maliit ang tsansa na ma-recycle at mabentang muli ang mga ito.

“So we can more or less improve things, better protect the Filipino people, by doing a concerted action, immediately after, just a few, I hope the Supreme Court will agree with me, just a few days after they should be destroyed and be accounted for accurately,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Batid naman ng lahat na top priority ni Pangulong Duterte na tapusin ang latay na ibinibigay ng ilegal na droga sa bansa.

Iyon nga lamang para sa mga kritiko ng Pangulo, nakagawa na ng ilang bilang na human rights violations ang pamahalaan sa war on drugs nito.

Sa ulat, libong katao ang napatay dahil sa anti-narcotics operations simula nang maging Pangulo si Duterte noong Hunyo 2016. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
