HINILING ni Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Mike Defensor sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno na irelease agad ang mid-year bonus ng kanilang mga empleyado sa Biyernes, Mayo 14.

“The early release of their incentive will be a big help to our more than one million workforce in the bureaucracy amid the pandemic, especially our healthcare and other frontliner workers,” ani Defensor.

Base sa Republic Act (RA) 1146, lahat ng state personnels mula presidente hanggang sa pinakamababang position sa gobyerno tulad ng janitor at clerk ay dapat matanggap ang kanilang mid-year bonus na katumbas ng isang buwan nilang sahod tuwing Mayo 15.

“And since May 15 this year falls on a Saturday, I am appealing to our agencies to advance the payment of the bonus on Friday,” ayon sa mambabatas dahil malamang ay nai-download na umano ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pondo sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno.

Si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ay may pinakamataas na bonus dahil aabot ito ng P415, 728 habang ang pinakamababang empleyado ng gobyerno ay tatanggap naman ng P12,034.

Nanghihinayang din ang mambabatas dahil tatanggap sana ng mataas na bonus ang mga government nurse ngayong taon, lalo na ang mga Nurse 2 pataas, kung hindi dinemote ng DBM ang mga ito sa ilalim ng Budget Circular No. 2020-4.

“Our nurses waited for almost 20 years to receive the minimum salary they are entitled to under the law. But the DBM has undermined the Supreme Court ruling and the law by demoting our senior nurses,” ayon sa mambabatas.

Dahil sa nasabing circular, pinagparehas ng DBM bilang pagsunod sa Supreme Court (SC) ruling na dapat Salary Grade (SG) 15 ang sahod ng mga government nurse subalit lugi umano ang mga senior nurse dahil sa nasabing circular.

“The DBM circular is most unfair to Nurse II position holders because they were already receiving Salary Grade 15 pay, which should have been upgraded to at least Salary Grade 16, or P36,628 from P33,575, or an increase of P3.053,” ayon pa sa mambabatas.
