“WALANG pagbabago, walang reporma, walang hustisya. Only the continuation of a corrupt, anti-people system that has plagued this country for decades”.

Reaksyon ito ng Makabayan bloc congressmen matapos lagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., ang P6.793 trilyong pambansang pondo ngayong taon na batbat umano ng pork barrel, political patronage at sistematikong korupsyon sa pamahalaan.

Bagama’t umaabot sa P92.5 billion ang vineto ni Marcos sa Unprogrammed Appropriations (AU), tinawag ng Makabayang bloc na “pampalubag-loob” lamang ito para mawala ang atensyon ng publiko sa bilyon-bilyong pork barrel na hindi ginalaw ni Marcos.

“By refusing to veto the DPWH “allocables”, President Marcos has ensured the continuation of the most entrenched system of corruption in government—one that involves lawmakers, DPWH officials, and private contractors in a well-oiled machinery of kickbacks, overpricing, and ghost projects,” ayon sa nasabing grupo na kinabibilangan nina ACT Teacher party-list Rep. Antonio Tinio, Kabataan party-list Rep. Renee Co at Gabriela party-list Rep. Sarah Elago.

Ang “allocables” na bagong pangalan aniya ng pork barrel ay mga infrastructure project na inendorso ng mga mambabatas sa kanilang distrito na ipatutupad ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) na bukod sa mataas ang presyo ay kuwestiyonable umano ang kalidad ng proyekto.

Itinuturing din ng mga nasabing mga mambabatas na pork barrel ang Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) na umaabot P73.2 billion at maging ang P15.33 billion na Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Assistance Program na ipinagmalaki pa aniya ng Pangulo.

Maging ang mga general anila ay meron ding pork barrel dahil sa P8 billion Support to Barangay Development Program sa ilalim ng NTF-ELCAC at P11 Billion na Confidential and intelligence Funds (CIF).
