Tinanggap ng mga opisyal ng PAGCOR na pinangungunahan ni President and COO Wilma Eisma (ikalima mula sa kaliwa) ang plaque of recognition mula sa Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) bilang isa sa top-performing GOCCs batay sa 2024 Performance Evaluation Scorecard. Kasama rin sa larawan sina GCG Chairperson Atty. Marius P. Corpus (ika-anim mula sa kaliwa), dating Senador Franklin Drilon, at iba pang opisyal ng GCG.

Nakatanggap ng dalawang parangal ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) mula sa Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) sa GCG Awards Ceremony na ginanap noong Lunes, Disyembre 1, na lalo pang nagpatibay sa estado nito bilang isa sa top-performing GOCCs ng pamahalaan.

Nakakuha ang PAGCOR ng 99.92-percent rating sa 2024 Performance Evaluation Scorecard at sinabitan pa ng Sustainability Award dahil sa “exemplary efforts in upholding sustainability values and best practices in corporate governance,” ayon sa GCG.

Sinabi ni PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco na patunay ang mga nasabing parangal sa tuloy-tuloy na pag-angat ng operasyon ng ahensya, sa mas pinatibay na regulatory systems, at sa pagtiyak na ang kita ay napupunta sa mga pangunahing programa ng pamahalaan.

“Our strong 2024 Performance Evaluation Scorecard rating and the Sustainability Award highlight not just operational excellence but also our commitment to transparency, good governance, and nation-building,” ani G. Tengco.

Iginawad kina Marjorie I. Castro-Naranjo, COO Wilma T. Eisma, Director Francis C. Concordia at Corporate Secretary Leoncio Joel M. Barrameda III ang Sustainability Award ng PAGCOR sa GCG Awards Ceremony noong Disyembre 1.

“These awards from the GCG affirm the work we have done to make PAGCOR a transparent, accountable, and high-performing GOCC. It also strengthens our resolve to serve with integrity,” dagdag niya.

Sinabi pa ni G. Tengco na patuloy na itataas ng PAGCOR ang pamantayan ng government service sa pamamagitan ng paninuguro na ang kita nito ay napupunta sa mahahalagang social services at sa mga komunidad na higit na nangangailangan.

Noong 2024, nakapag-remit ang PAGCOR ng Php68.20 bilyon para sa nation-building, kabilang ang suporta sa infrastructure projects, disaster response, at iba pang programang direktang nakikinabang ang mga komunidad.

Sinabayan ito ng regular na dividend remittances sa National Treasury upang pondohan ang health care, sports development, at renewable energy initiatives ng gobyerno.

“PAGCOR remains an active partner of the government not only in revenue generation but also in laying the foundation for a stronger nation,” ayon kay G. Tengco. “Good governance must translate to real service for the Filipino people. That is why we ensure that every peso generated by PAGCOR is channeled to programs that protect livelihoods, enhance public infrastructure, and support nation-building.”

Kinikilala ng GCG Awards ang mga GOCC na nagpapakita ng outstanding performance, accountability, at impact batay sa mahigpit nitong evaluation standards.

Ang dalawang parangal na ito ay patunay ng tuloy-tuloy na operational improvements at dedikasyon ng PAGCOR sa responsible gaming at pambansang kaunlaran.
