KINUMPIRMA ng Malakanyang ang pagkakatalaga kay Vice Admiral Artemio Manalo Abu bilang commandant ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang appointment paper ni Abu, ngayong araw, Pebrero 28, 2022.

“We are confident that CG Vice Admiral Abu will steer the PCG to greater heights in the performance of its mandate towards maritime law enforcement, maritime search and rescue, marine environmental protection and maritime safety and security,” ayon kay acting Presidential spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
