IGINIIT ni Senador Loren Legarda na dapat bigyan din muna ng pagkakataon ang Kamara na gamitin ang lahat ng legal remedy kaugnay sa impeachment case laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte bago tuluyang magdesisyon ang Senado.

“Ang aking view, we should not decide prematurely until the House of Representatives has exhausted all legal remedies. So, due process must be observed regardless of where we stand on the issue in the pursuit of accountability and justice, truth and fairness must not be forgotten,” diin ni Legarda.

Gayunman, nilinaw ng senador na nirerespeto niya ang papel ng hudikatura lalo na ang Korte Suprema sa interpretasyon ng konstitusyon.

“We may agree or disagree with the Supreme Court ruling na wala naman perpektong pare-parehong pananaw tungkol dito, but the Supreme Court and all our branches of government work that way,” diin ng senadora.

“So dapat ito po consistent ka sa check and balance. Kaya nirerespeto ko ang naging ruling ng Supreme Court, may MR na ihahain, we’ll take it from there,” dagdag niya.

“At bilang isang magiging senator-judge, kung magpatuloy man ang impeachment, I will withhold any judgment regarding the impeachment. In short, I respect the rule of law, let the process take its course, at dapat ay siyempre may transparency, truth, and fairness,” pagtitiyak pa ng mambabatas.
