GANITO ilarawan ni Executive Secretary Atty. Vic Rodriguez ang lumabas na balita na nagbitiw na siya sa kanyang tungkulin.

Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Rodriguez na hindi niya alam kung saan nanggaling ang nasabing tsismis.

“Even the messages that I got this morning essentially what they said that I have resigned. But, as you know, you made this courtesy call, I am still here in my office, thats why I said tinitingnan ko yung mga hitsura niyo kanina kung meron kayong parang nakakita kayo ng multo but I am just here I hardly go out of my office… I don’t know how the rumor started but all of us in the Cabinet, regardless of the portfolio that we are holding or handling,” ayon kay Rodriguez.

Malinaw rin aniya na sa pagkakataon na tinanggap ng isang tao ang nominasyon at ang request mula sa Pangulo na tulungan siya na magsilbi at magpatakbo sa bansa ay awtomatiko aniya na tinanggap na rin nito “anytime” ang hilingin dito na lisanin ang puwesto.

“But, until that happens then you stay, di ba. Hindi naman one way yung pagtanggap mo, pag tinanggap mo that’s it, pag tinanggap mo implied yung written sa agreement na yan na anytime you may be also asked to leave. So malinaw dito sa present administration that all those serving under President Marcos that the moment the President asked you to serve under his leadership it goes  without saying that there’s no permanence,” aniya pa rin.

Sa kabilang dako kalusugan at pamilya naman ang magiging pangunahing dahilan ni Rodriguez sakali at nagbitiw siya sa puwesto.

“I don’t want to think about it. But, of course for health reasons. Of course, family reasons. That’s why I am saying I don’t want to think about those reasons because I don’t want to get sick. I don’t think anyone of us here want to get sick. And the moment you cite that as a reason to your employer something must be seriously wrong with your health,” litanya nito.

“I wish you all well, I hope you wish me well too healthwise,” dagdag na pahayag ni Rodriguez.

Base sa mga kumalat na balita, hindi umano kinaya ni Rodriguez ang pressure sa ‘inner circle” ng administrasyong Marcos Jr.
