NAIS ng isang kongresista na i-ban ang isang Chinese beauty product dahil sa paglalagay ng address sa packaging nito na lalawigan ng China ang Manila.

“THE Philippines is now a province of China?”

Ito ang ibinatong tanong ni PBA party-list Rep. Jericho Nograles patungkol sa beauty product.

Hiniling ng mambabatas na i-blacklist ang Ashley Shine Keratin Treatment Deep Repair, dahil misleading umano ang labeling ng produktong ito na gawa sa People’s Republic of China (PRC).

“It is hard to dismiss this insult as a simple error. The label clearly shows Manila, as a province of China.

This incident must be investigated at the very least, and the manufacturer and importer should be blacklisted, as soon as legally permitted,” ani Nograles.

Base sa larawan na ibinahagi ni Nograles hinggil sa label ng nasabing produkto na ibinebenta sa Pilipinas ngayon, nakasaad na gawa ito ng Elegang Fumes Beauty Product Inc., kung saan ang
address ay “1st Flr. 707 Sto. Cristo St., San Nicolas, Manila Province. P.R. China”.

Dahil dito, agad sumulat ang mambabatas sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) upang ireklamo ang nasabing produkto at igiit na i-ban ito.

Base umano sa mga impormasyong nakarating sa mambabatas, ang mga produktong nagsasabi na ang Manila ay probinsya ng China ay gawa pa umano noong 2018 at dalawang taon nang
ibinebenta sa Pilipinas.

“Any act to undermine our sovereignty must be taken seriously. It is in this light that we respectfully ask your Office to immediately investigate this detestable and repulsive offense against our nation, and, if legally justified, prohibit the continued distribution of these products in our country,” dagdag pa nito.
