INAASAHANG magkakaroon na ng mass hiring ng mga guidance COUNSELOR na pangangasiwaan ng Civil Service Commission (CSC) para i-deploy sa lahat ng mga public school sa buong bansa.

Inanunsyo ito ng CSC makaraang nilagdaan kahapon ang Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) ng Republic Act (RA) 12080 na mas kilala bilang ‘Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act’.

“Under the IRR, the CSC will oversee the standardization of qualification requirements, recruitment, and appointment processes for these positions, ensuring that qualified mental health professionals are deployed across Schools Division Offices (SDOs) and public schools nationwide,” ayon sa CSC.

Sa ilalim ng nasabing batas, magkakaroon na ng plantilla position para sa mga Schools Division Counselors, School Counselors at School Counselor Associates kaya inaasahan na magkakaroon na ng mass hiring.

Layong ng nasabing batas na asistehan at tulungan ng mga mental health professionals ang mga estudyante at maging ang mga guro at mga school officials at empleyado na may pinagdadaanang mental health problem.

“The CSC fully supports the integration of mental health services into the education system by providing a structured career path for mental health professionals. These new plantilla positions guarantee stability, proper training, and long-term government support for mental health initiatives in schools,” wika ni CSC chairperson Marilyn Barua-Yap.

Magugunita na sa mga nakaraang, may mga estudyante ang nagpapakamatay kaya isinulong sa dalawang kapulungan ng kongreso ang pagkuha ng mga health professionals upang matulungan ang mga problemadong kabataan.

“This initiative will help address the growing need for counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health education in the basic education system,” ayon pa kay Barua-Yap.

Maglalaro sa Salary Grade (SG) 11, o katumbas ng ₱22,219, hanggang SG 24, o ₱85,000, ang sasahurin ng mga mental health professional, depende sa kanilang ranggo kada buwan. (PRIMITIVO MAKILING)
