INENDORSO ng isang grupo ng mga obispo ang kandidatura ni dating Ilocos Norte governor Imee Marcos at 11 iba pang senatoriables na maglalaban-laban para sa darating na May 13 midterm elections.

Kasama sa mga inendorso ng Independent Bishops Conference of the Philippines (IBCP) ang kandidatura nina Marcos, reeleksyunistang senador na si Cynthia Villar, Bong Go, Bato dela Rosa, JV Ejercito, Bong Revilla, Nancy Binay, Pia Cayetano, Koko Pimentel at Francis Tolentino.

Ayon kay Villar, nagpapasalamat ito sa tiwala ng nasabing mga obispo sa trabaho nito sa Senado at muling manungkulan sa ikalawang termino.

“This is indeed a big boost to my candidacy. I thank the bishops and their flock for their support. The endorsement further inspires me to devote my life in helping our poor brothers and sisters through legislations, advocacies, projects and programs,” ani Villar.

Sa inilabas na kalatas ng IBCP, na binubuo ng 187 obispo mula sa iba’t ibang Christian groups nationwide, suportado ng mga ito ang nasabing mga kandidato na makatutulong ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa pamamahala sa bansa.
