Ito’y base sa kanilang Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE).
Ayon kay Atty. George Briones, PFP general counsel, ang P272 milyong halaga ng nagastos sa huling presidential campaign ay “below the maximum expenditure of P337 million allowed by law for a national political party.”
“The party also allocated a huge part of the P272 million for rally expenses,” ayon kay Alday sabay sabing “I think kayo na rin ang makakapagsabi niyan, it’s TV ads. TV ads ‘yung malaking bulk.”
“Well of course, voluminous ‘yung document, ngayon lang namin natapos,” dagdag na pahayag nito nang tanungin kung bakit pinili nito na magsumite ng SOCE noong Hunyo 6.
Sa ilalim ng Seksyon 14 ng Republic Act 7166 nakasaad dito na “every candidate and treasurer of the political party shall, within 30 days after the day of the election, file in duplicate with the offices of the Commission the full, true and itemized statement of all contributions and expenditures in connection with the election.”
Idinagdag pa nito na “No person elected to any public office shall enter upon the duties of his office until he has filed the statement of contributions and expenditures herein required.” (CHRISTIAN DALE)
