NAGING matagumpay ang isinagawang 30TH ASEAN Directors-General (DG) of Customs Meeting para sa 2021 – 2022 na pinamunuan ni Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero.
Sa kanyang pagtanggap at pagkilala sa nasabing pagtitipon at pulong ng mga pinuno ng Customs bureau sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), ipinaliwanag ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez na: “The ASEAN region was severely affected by the pandemic. However, beginning the second half of this year, most of our economies should have gained stable footing on their path to recovery”.
“Among the vital factors aiding the region’s economic recovery is trade within the region. The best way forward for the region is to resume integration and cooperation in earnest. We are each other’s best allies in recovery”, diin ng kalihim.
Tinalakay din ang “regional and international issues, and emerging trends in Customs from the World Customs Organization (WCO), and ASEAN Dialogue Partners particularly Australia, China, Japan, and Korea. The Private Sector, notably the ASEAN Joint Business Councils (ASEAN JBC), EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) and the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC)”.
