MORE than an effective product endorser, kilala si John Lloyd Cruz as one of the country’s finest actors. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit nakakapanghinayang ang kanyang hibernation which he chose over his career.

But with his indefinite break comes a sense of fulfillment. Maligaya siya sa piling ni Ellen Adarna most especially now that they are blessed with a child who recently turned one.

Recently, my mga reported sightings kay JLC with his quintessential screen partner Bea Alonzo off a Palawan resort. Pero ang inakala ng publiko na isang reunion movie ang kinukunan nila roon turned out to be a commercial shoot.

Ang pagsasama rin nina JLC at Bea with Piolo Pascual has fanned talks of yet another film project in the offing. Pero ang totoo pala’y may kinalaman pa rin ‘yon sa isang shawarma product whose original endorser ay si Piolo.

Of course, his fans would like to see John Lloyd back in harness. But let’s face it, they’d rather see their idol in a full-length movie, ‘yung e-enjoyin mo siya for two hours while marveling at his acting just like old times.

Bumalik din lang si JLC, hindi pa niya nilubus-lubos. Pasasabikin lang pala niya ang publiko via a 40-second or so exposure which highlights the product more than his talent.

Sana’y ang pagtaas ng sales ng shawarma na ‘yon through him will encourage JLC to stage a big screen comeback.

By now ay baka nabasa na ni Lilibeth Romero ang kinalabasan ng isinagawang internal probe ng GMA into the accident involving her partner Eddie Garcia.
