Antique representative and senatorial candidate Loren Legarda topped the latest Pulso ng Pilipino Senatorial survey conducted from April 4 to 15.
Of the 2,440 respondents, Legarda got 65% in NCR, 57% in Luzon, 62% in Visayas, and 55 % in Mindanao. Around 60% of the respondents chose her as the number one they would choose.
The rest of the Magic 12 include Sorsogon governor Chiz ni Escudero, Congressman Alan Peter Cayetano, Senator Migs Zubiri, former DPWH secretary Mark Villar, former broadcaster Raffy Tulfo, former Senator JV Ejercito, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, actor Robin Padilla, Senador Joel Villanueva, former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro, and Senator Risa Hontiveros.
Legarda has consistently placed in the top three in recent surveys. The three-term Senator has been endorsed by various groups including the PDP LBN, TUCP, and senior citizens, among others for her remarkable record in public service.
Legarda has also been a champion of the environment, especially climate justice, wherein she has spearheaded various talks and forums about the effects of climate change and how to take care of Mother Earth.
She has also been an advocate for women and children’s rights, having authored several laws for the protection and safety especially for those who are victims of human trafficking and violence.
