PARANAQUE, Philippines – Champions for societal change and sustainable and inclusive development gather under one roof anew as the Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards recognized leaders from various sectors during its award night held last Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Grand Ballroom of the Okada Manila.
Government leaders, policy makers, social workers, philanthropists, business heads, and young Filipinos were lauded for their efforts and achievements towards nation-building and sustainable progress during the grand awarding ceremony organized by Sustainability Standards, Incorporated.
MOSLIV, which stands for Most Sustainable and ‘Liveable’, aims to rally Filipinos together to join the global fight towards the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for a climate-neutral society within the next few decades.
“We are almost halfway through the UN SDG 2030 Agenda. While we have experienced setbacks because of COVID-19, the learnings we bring from the past couple of years made us stronger and better as we face more challenges in the future,” SSI President and CEO Mr. Kenneth Rocete said.
The Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards praised the contributions of individuals from the public service sector – from representatives, governors, mayors, down to the barangay level – as well as philanthropists from the non-government sector, CEOs, and Modern Filipino and Filipina Heroes.
Local Government Units, companies, and organizations which brought positive impact to their respective constituencies and communities, were also recognized during the said event.
“As a premier organization centered on charting a path of progress and resilience, Sustainability Standards, Inc. continues to champion the integration of principles for a smarter, healthier, and greener community. The President likewise congratulates the distinguished awardees for their efforts enhancing the lives of the Filipino people, boosting the competitiveness of their province, district, cities, municipalities and communities. He also emphasized the importance of growth trajectory, equity and conservation of natural resources, providing equitable opportunities and well-being of our citizens. His administration is committed in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to promote public awareness on the significance of a whole-of-nation approach in confronting issues of climate change by enjoining everyone from policy making, devise inclusive solutions, participate in civic programs, and practice responsible consumption of energy.” – Philippine President Ferdinand R.
