HOPE ni GUILLER VALENCIA
SABI ni Plato, “The essence of a human being is determined by what he hopes, and he hopes.”
Wika naman ng author na si Anton de Vreugd, in short, “We are what we hope”.
“There are three categories of hope; no hope, false hope, and true hope.”
Firstly, no hope for me is totally in stage of depression, no future at all in their thinking. Para sa kanila kahit mag-isip pa ng kahit maliliit na pag-asa, ito’y wala rin patutunguhan. Something, na he or she is just fooling him/herself.
Maaaring sabihin nila, “Let’s hope for the better,” ngunit iba ang kanilang asal, alam nila na it won’t happen.
And thirdly, true hope. “And this hope will never disappoint us.” St. Paul letter in Romans 5:5. Whereas, St. Peters points to the only source of true hope. 1 Peter 1:3, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has great mercy, and because of his mercy he gave us a new life. This new life brings us a living hope through Jesus Christ’s resurrection from death.”
Kapag dumating ang disappointments sa buhay, hold on to the hope we have in Christ for it will never leave us, forsake us, fall us, let us down, or disappoint us. Since we have received this grace, we are able to withstand the trials, tests, and even the disappointments of life. In conclusion, makikita ba sa ating buhay the hope of Christ in us?
Let us encourage those with no hope or false hope to turn to Christ at masumpungan ang true hope!
Nawa’y ang buhay natin ay maging beacons of hope in hopeless world! Huwag kalimutang tanggapin si Jesus bilang personal Lord and Savior! (giv777@myyahoo.com)
