1 PANG MAMBABATAS TUMALON SA LAKAS-CMD

IKINATUWA ni House Majority Leader at Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez ang pagkakaroon ng panibagong miyembro ng Partido Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) matapos ang isang oath taking ceremony kamakalawa.

Sa kasalukuyan ay nasa 35 na ang miyembro ng LAKAS-CMD sa House of Representatives kabilang na ang 18 Party-list allies.

“We are in the process of beefing up our ranks by recruiting more lawmakers. We are working very hard to keep with our promise to solidify and strengthen our political influence,” ani House Majority Leader Rep. Romualdez na siyang presidente ng Lakas-CMD at chairman ng powerful House Committee on Rules.

Si Zamboanga del Sur Rep. Leonardo “Jun” Babasa, Jr., ay nanumpa bilang bagong miyembro ng LAKAS-CMD, ayon kay Romualdez.

Ang panunumpa ay sinaksihan nina House Deputy Majority Leader and Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo and Deputy Majority Leader and Zamboanga Sibugay Rep. Wilter “Sharky” Wee Palma II via Zoom application.

Ayon kay Rep. Romualdez, si Cong. Babasa, ang vice chairman of the House committees on disaster management, on higher and technical education, and on local government, na dating miyembro ng ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).

“The Lakas-CMD political party is a staunch ally of the government and will continue to support the swift passage of President Duterte’s legislative agenda, the co-chairman of the Defeat COVID-19 Ad Hoc Committee (DCC) with Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano that spearheaded the passage of at least six anti-COVID measures designed to kick-start the economy through infrastructure spending programs that would create jobs and boost public health following the global health emergency” pahayag ni Romualdez.
