UMABOT na sa halagang P2.95 milyon free toll fees ang naipagkaloob ng Metro Pacific Tollways-led NLEX Corporation sa halos 3,610 medical frontliners simula nang isailalim sa enhanced community quarantine o lockdown ang buong Luzon dahil sa coronavirus pandemic.
Ayon kay NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista, ang nasabing amount ay ipinagkaloob sa mga medical frontliner na kinabibilangan ng mga doktor, nurse at iba pang healthcare professionals na patuloy na nakikibaka para gamutin ang mga tinamaan ng COVID-19.
“As part of its program to support the mobility needs of healthcare workers in the COVID-19 efforts, the company offered toll fee exemption in NLEX and SCTEX through Easytrip RFID stickers for the entire duration of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine,” ani Bautista.
Sa kasalukuyan, binigyan din ng espesyal at exclusive access sa NLEX ang mahigit 300 sasakyan ng IATF quarantine teams, Department of Health (DOH) workers, medical support groups, at mga pasyenteng dinadala sa “We Heal As One Center” quarantine facility sa Philippine Arena Complex sa Ciudad De Victoria sa Bocaue, Bulacan.
Tiniyak din ng NLEX Corporation ang ligtas at hassle-free motorist access mula sa pagpasok sa NLEX hanggang sa quarantine facility sa pamamagitan ng traffic assistance management at 24/7 monitoring via CCTV system kasabay ng
isinasagawang roving patrol at emergency response at mga nakatambay na engineering teams.
