NAKAHANDA ang Senado na harapin ang testimonyang ibibigay ng lumutang sa video clip na si Bikoy sakaling may makitang sapat na ebidensya sa dokumentong hawak umano nito.

Sinabi ni Senador Panfilo Lacson na hihintayin ng Mataas na Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang sworn statement ni Bikoy kasama ang ebidensya nitong nag-uugnay sa pamilya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa operasyon ng illegal na droga.

“As far as the Senate, we will await his sworn statement and whatever supporting evidence he has, after which we will evaluate and proceed from there. If it merits a Senate inquiry, we definitely will conduct one to hear him and more, if any,” sabi nito.

Kaugnay nito, hinamon ni Lacson ang Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) na tulad ng ibinigay na suporta nito kay Bikoy ay dapat ganito rin ang ipagkaloob na legal assistance ng nasabing grupo sa mga humahanap ng tulong legal.

“First, I certainly hope the Integrated Bar of the Philippines will give the same amount of attention and assistance to anybody seeking legal assistance. Otherwise, they might be misunderstood as engaging in political partisanship, which could punch a hole and deflate their credibility,” ayon sa senador.

“By their admission, they haven’t evaluated Bikoy’s accusations, yet they provided him their facility and a forum to air his accusations,” dagdag pa nito.
