MATAGUMPAY na nakalikom ang Globe ng P14-M na kanilang tinurnover sa PGH Medical Foundation, Inc. (PGH-MFI). Ang nasabing halaga ay nakalap sa pagtutulungan ng loyal Globe customers na nag-donate ng mahigit sa P9-M sa pamamagitan ng kanilang rewards points, at ng initial pledge ng kumpanya na P5-M na cash donation.

Bahagi ito ng marubdob na pagsisikap ng telco na makapagkaloob ng kagyat na tulong sa medical frontliners sa PGH, na itinalaga ngayon bilang eksklusibong COVID-19 hospital ng Department of Health (DOH).

Ang pondo ay ginamit ng PGH-MFI sa pagbili ng test kits, alcohol, at complete sets ng personal protective equipment (PPE) tulad ng surgical masks, face shields, at surgical gowns. Tinurnover din ng Globe ang mahigit sa 50 mobile phones na preloaded ng unlimited calls at texts sa lahat ng networks at valid sa loob ng 30-araw para sa communication needs ng healthcare workers at frontliners sa PGH.

“We also hope that this can show our kababayans that in times like these, doing simple acts of kindness even within the safety of our homes can truly make a difference.”

Noong nakaraang March 5 ay nag-donate din ang Globe ng P5-M na halaga ng surgical masks sa Philippine Red Cross.

Bukod dito, nagkaloob din ang kumpanya ng free unli internet connection via GoWiFi services nito magmula noong March 13 sa 68 public at private hospitals sa buong bansa.

“Mobile and broadband customers are also encouraged to stay updated on the developments on COVID-19 with access to the official sites of DOH, NDRRMC and PIA free of data charges,” ayon sa Globe.
