HINDI lamang tagumpay ang inani ng kauna-unahang PBA Philippine Cup bubble na ginanap dito sa bansa, nagbigay din ito ng hudyat na ang sports dito ay umusad na sa dalawang buwan at
kalahating kompetisyon, na nakatulong din para mapigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa lahat ng panuntunang ipinatupad ng pamahalan.

Lahat ng mga manlalaro, opisyal at iba pang kasama sa PBA bubble ay isinailalim sa regular na pagsusuri, sumunod sa social distancing, pagsusuot ng mask at iba pang health and safety protocols.

“We had a perfect zero negative tests in our entire stay at Clark for two and-a-half months,” ulat ni PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial sa panayam ng SAKSI ­NGAYON ilang araw matapos ibaba ng host Clark Development Corp. ang telon ng bubble.

Pinasalamatan din ni Kume ang Quest Hotel, ang naging tahanan ng lahat ng kasama sa bubble, at Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center sa Pampanga kung saan idinaos ang lahat ng laro.

Iniulat din ni Marcial ang kapasidad ng CDC para ­maging punong-abala sa mga darating pang bubble events sa bansa.

“Even FIBA has also noticed the ideal Clark facilities, as well as that of AUF which they now plan to use during our hosting of the third window of the on-going Asia Cup qualifying tournaments,” pagtatapat ng PBA top man.

“Clark is perfect choice for future international sporting events the country is committed to host,” paniniguro niya.

Sinamantala ng Barangay Ginebra ang kakulangan ng tao ng TNT Tropang Giga para angkinin ang kanilang unang All-Filipino crown sa loob ng nakalipas na 13 taon.

At matapos na mabuhay muli ang liga na may mga nag-akalang baka mamatay na bunga ng malawakang lockdown na ipinatupad ng pamahalaan, ang susunod na hakbang, ayon sa commissioner, paghandaan ang pagdiriwang ng ika-46 anibersaryo ng liga sa Abril 2021.

“All our efforts now will be directed at hopefully ­returning to where we ­started 45 years ago in April and hold, not only one, but the usual ­three-conference format,” sabi pa ni Marcial sa ­kolumnistang ito.
