AIR CARGO LOAD NG RELIEF GOODS, DONASYON NG UAE

PORMAL na tinanggap ng Pilipinas ang donasyon mula sa gobyerno ng United Arab Emirates na isang air cargo load ng reliefs good para sa mga biktima ng super typhoon Carina at habagat.

Ang mga donasyon ay kinabibilangan ng mga gatas, harina, bigas at iba pa.

Ang turnover ceremony na ginanap sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport ay dinaluhan nina Ma. Anna Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, Special Envoy to the United Arab Emirates for Trade and Investments, Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., UAE Ambassador Mohammed Obaid Al Qattan, at Reichel Quiñones, Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs.

Nagpasalamat si Yu-Pimentel sa gobyerno ng UAE, partikular kina Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, pangulo ng UAE; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs at Deputy Prime Minister; at Ambassador Alqattan.

Ayon kay Yu-Pimentel, ang kamakailang pagbisita ni First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos sa UAE ay higit pang nagpapatibay sa ugnayan ng dalawang bansa.

Sa pinakahuling bulletin, sinabi ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), ang bagyong Carina, tropical depression Butchoy, at habagat ay nakaapekto sa 3,628,500 indibidwal o 971,667 pamilya.

Kaugnay nito, inihayag ni District Collector Atty. Yasmin O. Mapa, “The Port is dedicated to ensuring that all humanitarian aid is processed and released without delay. We understand the urgency of the situation and have prioritized the swift clearance of these donations to help those in need as quickly as possible.” (JESSE KABEL RUIZ)
