BARMM ELECTIONS, IPINATATAKDA SA MARSO

ISINUSULONG ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel ‘Migz’ Zubiri ang panukalang magpapaliban muli sa kauna-unahang parliamentary elections sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s very first parliamentary elections.

Sa kanyang Senate Bill 1587, itinatakda ang BARMM elections sa March 30, 2026 at ang katungkulan ng mga bagong halal na opisyal ay magsisimula ng April 30.

Nakasaad din sa panukala na ang susunod na BARMM election ay isasabay sa 2028 national elections at gagawin na kada tatlong taon.

“It has been more than six years since the BARMM was established, and the Bangsamoro people have yet to exercise their power to elect their own leaders. The core principles of BOL is self-governance and self-determination, and these cannot be achieved without the people’s right to vote,” saad ni Zubiri.

“Kaya we are filing this bill to push for the BARMM’s parliamentary elections in March this year. Para may mandato ng batas ang kauna-unahang eleksyon sa rehiyon,” dagdag ng senador.

Sa ilalim ng panukala, mimamandato ang Commission on Elections (Comelec), sa pamamagitan ng Bangsamoro Electoral Office na bumuo ng rules and regulations para sa halalan.
