BATANGAS – THE UniTeam Alliance of presidential candidate former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte on Wednesday night drew another mammoth crowd, this time at the jampacked grand rally at the Lima Commercial Estate in this vote-rich province.
The rousing reception given by UniTeam supporters has interrupted both the speeches of Marcos and Duterte who shouted “Panalo ka na!” and “Hindi kami bayad!”
“Burger kayo diyan! Sigurado ako na hindi kayo bayad kasi marami sa inyo kanina pang umaga at sigurado ako na hindi kayo bayad dahil marami sa inyo ang ‘di pa kumakain, kanina pa na nandito, mainit, mataas pa ang araw, at mag ba-biyahe pa ng malayo pauwi ng walang pamasahe kaya alam na alam ko po na nandito kayo dahil mahal ninyo ang Uniteam,” Duterte told the large throng of people at the Lima Commercial Estate Malvar-Lipa City here.
“At kapag sinabi ng Batangas na panalo ka na, hahawakan ko ‘yan at sure na ako na panalo ako,” Duterte added in the rally attended by the province’s local officials led by Batangas Gov. Hermilando “Dodo” I. Mandanas.
Marcos vowed to lower the high electricity costs in the country to generate more jobs.
He is convinced that the fastest way to propel the province to progress and development is to ensure an affordable power rates.
The leading presidential candidate from Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) also underscored the need to revive the tourism industry following the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The rally, which drew thousands of UniTeam supporters, followed the “festival rally” in Cebu last Monday that was organized by the province officials led by Gov. Gwen Garcia where an estimated more than 300, 000 people came in attendance.
As the presidential elections drew closer, supporters of the UniTeam have been flocking in tens of thousands into the rallies of the leading tandem around the country.
During the rally here, Duterte spelled out the priorities and focus of the UniTeam, which are jobs, education and peaceful lives for Filipinos.
Expounding on the qualities and capability of Marcos to lead the country, the Davao City mayor gave a meaning to the call of unity by the UniTeam.
Kuryente, tubig, tulay, daan, skyway, subway. Napakahalaga po niyan sa peace and development sa mga lugar kung saan sila ginagawa,” she added.
The presidential daughter said she and Marcos would also continue the Duterte administration’s anti-criminality program.
Pagkakaisa at kapayapaan ng ating bansa,” Duterte said.
In ending her speech, the vice presidential candidate again call for support from Filipinos.
